About Us

Bell's Speed Shop, LLC is the brainchild of Jeff Schira and Frank Bell.

Frank and Jeff met at the Dallas-area chapter of the Ford Falcon Club of America.  Frank is a local boy and has always been a big Ford enthusiast.  Jeff came from Ohio and historically was more of a MOPAR and AMC fan, but had crossed paths with a few Fords in his life.

Jeff, being well-paid at his job as a patent attorney, but also being quite bored, helped work on a couple of Frank's Mustangs (Frank being more time-challenged than Jeff).  Soon they decided that it would be fun to buy and sell Falcons and Falcon parts on Ebay.  In addition, Frank bought the parts counter side of the local Mustang restoration shop.  Soon, Mustangs were added to the mix.

As the cars started to pile up, and Jeff's level of boredom at work grew, Jeff purchased a 12,000 SF warehouse in Mansfield, Texas.  Initially, the warehouse was used to store the personal car collections of Frank and Jeff, as well as finished inventory cars to be sold.

Eventually, Frank started having landlord trouble at his existing parts business, and decided that he needed to move.

While Frank was dealing with a problem landlord, Jeff got a new boss who was a real PITA and a poster boy for a Harvard Business School case study in poor management.  Jeff decided that life was too short to work for that SOB.  Money was not a problem (thanks to those stock options), but he needed something to occupy his time.

So, Jeff had a building and lots of time on his hands.  Frank had lots of parts, but no building.  The result?  Bell's Speed Shop, LLC.
